SIS announces the promotion of Matt Manocherian

Sports Info Solutions is pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Manocherian to the position of Vice President, Football and Research.

Matt Manocherian joined the company in 2016 as a football consultant and assumed the position of Director of Football Development the following year. He has overseen the expansion of its football operation, which has seen tremendous growth and is at the forefront of football scouting, data, and analytics.

Over the last year since Manocherian also took on the role of Director of Research, groundbreaking advancements have been made in the calculations of Defensive Runs Saved (DRS), a flagship baseball defensive metric, and revolutionized football with new advanced analytics, including Total Points and SIS-WAR. Manocherian was also instrumental in the creation of several new public-facing initiatives, including the 2019 and 2020 editions of The SIS Football Rookie Handbook,, and

Prior to joining Sports Info Solutions, Manocherian spent six seasons as a scout for the New Orleans Saints and the Cleveland Browns following his graduation from Duke University in 2008. Matt received his Masters in Sports Management from Columbia University in 2017. He currently also serves as an adjunct professor teaching Gridiron Analytics and Basketball Analytics to graduate students at New York University.
